While broadcast technology has advanced in leaps and bounds in most western countries, the BBC World Service still has a large number of local satellite 'studios' operating around the globe with somewhat antiquated facilities, all requiring pre-recorded duplicated content.
This project involved the design of an ultra high-quality real-time duplication plant, using 3-head recorders with full off-tape fault/level monitoring, ensuring that each copy was as close to the original as possible.
